Overview

The ACHPP high performance program consists of a 4 month program aimed at getting young cricketers
ready to play 1st Class and List A cricket with a focus on skill, physical and tactical development. The ACHPP Elite Program is a 4 month program with a mix of local and international clientele. The pillars of success are centered around “cricket, community, conservation” . Players will spend their time divided among the 3 aforementioned departments.

The top players will then have the opportunity to play 1st Class and List A cricket. The elite program will also play in the Harare Cricket Club league.

Cricket

  • Daily cricket training with leading local and international cricket specialist coaches.
  • Combination of white & red ball cricket centered practices
  • Training structured around technical, tactical, mental and physical development as well
    as lifestyle advice.
  • Specialized strength and conditioning coaching.
  • Fitness testing
  • Level 1 and Umpiring award certification.
  • Psychology and nutrition advice.
  • Public speaking workshops. Personality testing.
  • 1st Aid qualification.
  • Leisure and team-building activities.

Community

  • Coaching in underprivileged schools in countrywide locations.
  • Using cricket as medium for personal advancement.
  • Partnering with current active community projects.
  • Educating coaches in various communities.
  • Health and wellness associations through playing sport/cricket.
  • Opportunity to mentor young children on the benefits of sport etc

Conservation

  • Volunteering countrywide in various game parks and reserves.
  • Creating awareness of anti-poaching efforts.
  • Fundraising towards endangered species lists.
  • Education in protecting environments for future generations.
  • Showcasing the beauty of Zimbabwe’s wildlife and natural heritage sites.
  •  Up close and personal with what it takes to run game parks etc
  • Opportunity to mingle with game scouts and guards on the front line of anti-poaching efforts.
